DIRT day camp at Skyrman Park Arboretum
Striving to introduce children to the practice of appreciating and living in the natural world through hands on exploration of natural sciences,
traditional homesteading practices, and imaginative play.
Camps are $175 per week with $5 discount if you sign up before May 1st.

Explore the wonderful world of trees right in your own backyard at Central Point’s Beautiful Skyrman Arboretum.
Learn to identify native trees and all about dendrochronology. Make your own tree models and paint stamped wood prints.
Take leaf rubbings of our local trees. Create a leaf bowl and unique towel of your collected leaves.
Sticks can be used in so many ways! Today, we’ll make boats, picture frames, crowns, stars and dream catchers.
Which animals use trees for shelter? Let’s find out and build our own. Fort building day for creatures big and small!

Let’s learn about the beautiful birds that soar above us! Where do they live, what do they eat? Identify our local birds and craft your very own bird house.
Look, learn and listen! Create a mobile of all the types of birds that live in our area and be able to recognize the different songs of each.
There are so many ways to make bird feeders. Construct a few to keep our feathered friends around all year long.
What types of plants do birds like and why? Come plant seeds that will bring them happiness.
Assemble your very own pair of bird binoculars and build a bird’s nest out of everything you can find at the beautiful Skyrman Arboretum!

We have to take care of our bees, bugs, and butterflies! Come make a bee/bug hotel and learn what attracts butterflies!
Create a flower press to be able to identify native species to our area and make a unique nature bookmark
Create nature name ornaments, gnome homes, and learn how recycled bottles can be used for growing plants.
Discover sun prints, learn the different types of clouds and participate together in a Skyrman Arboretum nature scavenger hunt!
